China Bluestar Haerbin Petrochemical uses summer camp to promote family safety culture.
Family safety culture activities were initiated in March. Families gathered to read safety books, watch videos and pictures and learn how to use power and gas, traffic, diets, fire protection and guard against theft. Through popular cartoons, family members could learn how to evacuate others, and conduct self-rescues during gas leak accidents, to deal with emergencies, avoid dangers and self-rescues. Workshops or shift teams organized their families to visit the factory and encouraged them to read internal newspapers and understand the factory and nature of their work. Safety Lectures, Safety Cartoons and Awarding Essays enabled families to come closer to each other. Measures such as the OA office platform, telephones and SMS was integrated in an all-round manner. The company handed out a book named, 88 Need-to-Knows for Safety Lifts to summer camp members. The company launched rewarding activities, calling for everyone to take precautions with their parents. A camp member said, “Although the summer camp is over, we will make continued efforts to be a safety guard. We always warn ourselves to be safe and remind our hardworking parents to take cautions all the time.”
