Safety supervisors pass training course

When the training course for safety supervisors at the China National Chemical Corp concluded on Nov 16, ChemChina’s deputy general manager, Zhou Lewen, deputy general manager Ren Jianming, and the vice-president of the North China Institute of Science and Technology, Wang Yonggao, were on hand for the commencement ceremony. 

The 58 trainees completed all the work for the four-month session, and Zhou announced ChemChina’s decision to designate 13 of them outstanding trainees, and urged everyone to learn from them and make a contribution in the future.

Ren congratulated the trainees for completing the training and thanked the State Administration of Work Safety and the North China Institute of Science and Technology for their support and for ensuring the success of the training program. He said that the trainees got experience in safety management and improved their ability to communicate and handle emergencies and teamwork as supervisors and urged them to keep on learning and recognize the importance of work safety and make a contribution to the safety and development of ChemChina. Afterwards, he said, the trainees will begin a one-year internship as safety supervisors and the company will appraise their work, and those who qualify will be appointed safety supervisors at grassroots enterprises.

Wang praised the supervisor-training program and its results and said that its goals were clear and the curriculum was rational, combining theory and practice. He said he believes the course will be significant in improving safety awareness and the trainees’ ability. One of the outstanding 13, Zhao Jiangshun, of the Shandong Dongda Chemical Industry Co, speaking behalf of the others, thanked ChemChina’s leaders and the teachers from North China Institute of Science and Technology for their support and work over the past four-month period and promised that they will apply what they’ve learned to their work in the future and contribute to the safety and sustainable development of ChemChina.
