At the recent 2012 China International Chemical Industry Fair, at the Tianjin Binhai International Exhibition Center, the China National Chemical Corp (ChemChina) booth got a visit from a Chinese dignitary, Gu Xiulian, former vice-chairwoman of the National People’s Congress Standing Committee. Another prominent visitor was Li Yongwu, chairman of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, along with other leaders.
Fu Xiangsheng, the corporation’s deputy Party secretary, described ChemChina’s recent developments and international business for Gu, who said that she was aware of the company’s achievements in recent years. She went on to say that, in the area of overseas development, ChemChina has made a substantial pesticide market contribution through its acquisition of Makhteshim Agan Industries and that more are expected for overall chemical industry development in China.
